Engineer in BIOTECHNOLOGY and BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING

The fields of healthcare are vast. At Grenoble INP – Phelma, students learn to master the technologies linked to medical imaging and treatment: diagnosis “at the patient’s bedside”, implantable medical devices, lab-on-a-chip, biochip or DNA chip etc.

The fields of healthcare are vast. At Grenoble INP – Phelma, students learn to master the technologies linked to medical imaging and treatment: diagnosis “at the patient’s bedside”, implantable medical devices, lab-on-a-chip, biochip or DNA chip etc.

Biomedical engineering at Phelma:
2 possibilities:

Medical imaging and nanomedicine: for a career in the development and therapeutic application of the different methods of multi-scale structural and functional imaging.

Nanobiology and medical devices: for a career in the design, development and application of point-of-care, implantable or man-machine interface medical devices. Miniaturized (tab-on-chip-type) devices, tissue engineering and the development of nanoparticles and active biomaterials for diagnosis and treatment are central to the evolution towards personalised medicine.
